I was once very shy before Christ made me a new creature in Him. As a result, I was searching for a way to feel empowered in this life...to stop hurting inside. I was afraid of death...I was fearful of the unknown. I did not have any idea of why I was on this Earth. I wanted to know the future. The Vietnam War was raging and I was so scared of being sent over there. I was about 15 years old at the time. I hungered for the truth- not fairy-tales.

And so, I was very vulnerable and open to answers..NO MATTER WHAT THE SOURCE!

Therefore- I was easily led downwards into the world of the occult. I learned palm reading- how to cast horoscopes- read tea leaves. How to use the Ouija Board! Then I got into magic and tarot card reading...I-ching...and eventually witchcraft and Satan worship. My parents were very worried about me. 

However- I felt no peace. I became more confused than ever. Next, I did an intensive study of every religion ever devised by the human imagination...but all I saw were contradictions! My search came to a dead end.

Sometime before I turned 16 years old- God had pity on me by allowing me to hear the Gospel--The good news about how I was a sinner deserving of His punishment, and yet how God had sent His Son to Earth, to take that punishment that   I deserved, upon Himself instead.

All I had to do?  BELIEVE the good news was for ME!    By the grace of God, I called out to Jesus and asked Him to forgive all my sins. I trusted Him totally. Gone was all my guilt and shame!

The first thing I did, was take all my occult books and BURN THEM in our burning barrel. I no longer feared death. I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

I understand the future- because God reveals it in His Word (The Bible). I know my purpose in life- it is to live for Jesus Christ and His glory. I am no longer shy- God has given me a spirit of love, power and of a sound mind! 

I have served the Lord for over 35 years now. 

My music and my poetry is shared with Him first and foremost...then to anyone else who will listen. By the power of God, I serve Christ as a grateful sinner saved by His amazing compassion and grace.
